This is a little late but what is the saying? Better late than never and if you know my next character you will know that being late is part of who he is.
We often joke that he will be late to his own funeral.
This is the first time I get to present a physical therapist assistant, Joseph Marcum.
Joseph plays a key role in the delivery of your physical therapy care. As an assistant he works to carry out the plan you and your Physical Therapist have developed and to use his knowledge and insights to help you reach your goals.
Joseph has been on the MOSS team 4 years as of March and continues to hone his skills as a PTA.
He has a very analytical mind and sees each patient as a puzzle to figure out.
Joseph received his Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Amarillo College in 2015.
He loves getting to work with patients of all kinds, but especially those with orthopedic conditions (knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, back and neck pain) along with athletes.
Originally from Amarillo, Texas, he now lives in Weatherford with his wife.
Recently married, he enjoys spending his free time reading at local coffee shops, hiking, going to church, bible studies and playing video games.
He also spends time at the batting cages, and keeps saying he is going to get back into playing baseball soon, lets see how that goes.
Interesting Facts: Everything about Joseph is interesting, especially all of his personal aches and pains that he freely discusses in the clinic. I think it helps him relate to his patients.
Seinfeld Character Traits
Joseph is an interesting character. As far as Seinfeld goes he is a combo of neurotic George Costanza and the rambling, unpredictable “George Steinbrenner” played by co-creator Larry David. Joseph frequently has odd and unusual stories about random facts. Just stop by and strike up a conversation, there is no telling where it will go.
Back story about the character traits.
Welcome to MOSS Rehabilitation Center. While we take our job very seriously and want you to have an exceptional experience, we also like to have a good time while doing it.
When I was in Physical Therapy school I would get together with friends to watch several shows on Thursday night and one of them was Seinfeld.
I became a huge fan and truly enjoyed the wide range of characters that would make appearances on the show from time to time. I enjoyed the stories Kramer would tell and the neurotic behaviors of George Costanza.
At times I feel like the clinic is Jerry’s apartment and the staff are the main characters of the show. All of our clients play supporting roles to this crazy everyday show that happens at the clinic.
MOSS is a real reality show without the drama and a goal of getting you well, with some fun thrown in.
Because of my love of Seinfeld I decided to call our team the “cast of characters” at MOSS Rehabilitation Center. In addition to some serious stuff about us I also wanted to tell you some funny stuff as well. Enjoy!
Robert
PS: All of the narrations for the “character traits” are of my doing.
