Team Work Makes The Dream Work

General January 27, 2022

As we begin 2022 I thought it would be appropriate to shine the light on some of my amazing team and give you a little insight into what they do and some of their personality traits.

Today I highlight a true rock star for Moss Rehabilitation Center, Tyla Haley.

The crazy thing is that most of you don’t even know that she exists. Pre-covid she sat in the “hole”, the small office off of the main reception area checking insurance benefits, filing claims and sending you those wonderful statements.

Tyla has put up with me and my antics for 5 years this January, so I have to question her sanity but appreciate her dedication and hard work.

She is a “behind the scenes” team member who works in our finance/insurance department so more than likely you have not met her so today I want to formally introduce you to her.

Tyla Haley is the Director of Insurance Finance for the clinic. She is responsible for leading the Finance department. She received her Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) certification with the National Health Association (NHA) through Weatherford College in 2015 and has been with the clinic since January 2017. Tyla is married to her wonderful husband Alex for 12 years and has an amazing, energetic 9-year old son, Jaxson. She enjoys being with family, watching her son play sports, and spending as much time as possible outside by the pool, having BBQ’s with family and friends.

Tyla serves on the leadership team and provides useful insights into the ever changing and complicated world of insurance.

During all of the shutdowns Tyla was able to transition to remote work while homeschooling Jaxson. This turned out to be a win-win situation and Tyla continues to work remotely and usually comes into the office a few times a month. If you see her then you better take a picture because a Tyla sighting in the clinic is as rare as seeing sasquatch in the woods.

Seinfeld Character Traits

Tyla works remote three days a week so she misses out on a lot of the office antics which is why she reminds me of Deena. Deena is a childhood friend of George Costanza who thinks he is mentally unstable, catching him in a series of bizarre situations. I feel as if Tyla is always seeing and hearing about odd situations that happen at the clinic — and probably thinks most of us are not quite so stable.

Back story about the character traits.

Welcome to MOSS Rehabilitation Center. While we take our job very seriously and want you to have an exceptional experience, we also like to have a good time while doing it.

When I was in Physical Therapy school I would get together with friends to watch several shows on Thursday night and one of them was Seinfeld. I became a huge fan and truly enjoyed the wide range of characters that would make appearances on the show from time to time. I enjoyed the stories Kramer would tell and the neurotic behaviors of George Costanza. At times I feel like the clinic is Jerry’s apartment and the staff are the main characters of the show. All of our clients play supporting roles to this crazy everyday show that happens at the clinic. This is a real reality show without the drama and a goal of getting you well, with some fun thrown in.

Because of my love of Seinfeld I decided to call our team the “cast of characters” at MOSS Rehabilitation Center. In addition to some serious stuff about us I also wanted to tell you some funny stuff as well. Enjoy!

Robert

PS: All of the narrations for the “character traits” are of my doing.

I hope you have enjoyed learning about one of our team members who works very hard to make sure you have a good experience with us.

I would love to hear about your experience with us. Please leave us a review, send me an email or give me a call.
